Fifth Street Runspringa

Formerly Briar Chase Cross-Country, this Thursday night 5k spring series is held in Northampton, PA. In order to align with our fall series we have added a bike race portion to the event. The course is 1.7mi per lap, and each week, we run 2 laps for a total of 5km (give or take!). After the 5k comes our short track mtb race. Each week, we run/ ride in the opposite direction to shake it up and give you variety. Points are awarded each week, with the bunny ears crown awarded to the runners/ riders with the most points overall.

Post-Race Chill

Hanging with your friends is the best part of the night. We have light food and drinks available for everyone who runs/ rides with us. For those who aren't running/ riding, we ask for a small donation, but we want everyone to feel welcome and hang out!

Weekly Themes

Week 1: Counterclockwise Direction 

**Bring Your Lights!**

This week will be dark, so please remember to bring your lights. If you do not have a light, please contact us. Keystone Running Store has Ultraspire lights available.

Week 2: Clockwise Direction 

St. Patty's Day POT OF GOLD

Gold coins will be scattered around the course, with a magical pot of gold worth 100 points hidden somewhere! This helped Colin Sheridan finish on the podium last season, so be sure to keep your eyes open!

Week 3: Counterclockwise Direction 

Predictor Run

Guess your finish time! The person who comes closest to their predicted time will win a prize.

Week 4: Clockwise Direction  

Run, Rabbit, Run!  

There is a shortcut inspired by Peter Rabbit. If you choose to take the shortcut, you will save time, but you’ll have to wiggle under a fence to get through!

Week 5: Counterclockwise Direction  

Team night! Runners are paired with a partner for their points for the night.

Week 6: Clockwise Finale!

Double Points! Join us for #fifthisfirst at the cousin of Fifth Street Cross. Collect points throughout the season, and we’ll see who earns the bunny ears for 5th place overall!
