Fifth Street Summer Camp
Endurance Run & Ride, Gravel, Cyclocross
Established 2025
Fifth Street Summer Camp is a two-day run and ride weekend held each summer at the Kempton Community Center, at the foot of Hawk Mountain in eastern Pennsylvania. Designed as both a season starter and a community gathering, the event blends short-course racing, long gravel rides, and overnight camping into a single, immersive experience.
Friday evening features a 5K run and a sunset cyclocross race on a purpose-built course exclusive to the event, followed by food, drinks, and music on site. Saturday shifts toward endurance and challenge with unsupported gravel routes through the Hawk Mountain foothills and the Sundown Rundown, a signature run event that rewards persistence through a timed, repeat-lap format.
Camping is central to the experience, with participants encouraged to stay on site and engage across disciplines. Merit badges and points awarded throughout the weekend promote crossover, participation, and continuity into the Fifth Street Cross season.
Fifth Street Summer Camp reflects Fifth Street’s production approach: accessible competition, flexible formats, and an emphasis on hospitality and shared experience over spectacle.
